ASUS Products Win 17 Awards for Innovation and Design Excellence at Computex 2019

Fremont, California (May 29, 2019) — ASUS today announced wins of six Best Choice and 11 Computex d&i awards for products demonstrating innovation and design excellence at ceremonies held during Computex 2019. ZenFone 6, the first ASUS smartphone to feature a rotating flip camera won a Best Choice Golden award, a Computex d&i Golden award and a Computex d&i award. Zenbo Junior, the first ASUS business robot, won a Best Choice Best Design award, a Best Choice Category award and a Computex d&i award. The ASUS Mini PC ProArt PA90, a workstation-class PC designed for content creation, won a Best Choice Golden award and Computex d&i award.

Established in 2002 by Computex Taipei, the Best Choice awards honor products that demonstrate excellence in functionality, innovation and market potential. The awards committee is composed of government officials, academicians, research analysts, editors-in-chief and other industry experts who offer diverse perspectives in the selection process.

A collaboration between the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), the Computex d&i awards recognize new products that exhibit outstanding design and innovative features. A jury consisting of the world’s top industrial designers and experts, along with venture capitalists, judges the hundreds of product submissions based on five evaluation categories: Innovation, Technical, Functionality, Social, Craftsmanship and Aesthetics.

Zenbo Junior is the first ASUS business robot for expansive applications and flipped learning. It is an intelligent educational tool to cultivate Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities with a state-of-the-art open platform to create various applications in different business fields. In addition, Zenbo Junior comes with instant remote management to increase operational efficiency.

Along with Zenbo Lab, a new programming website developed by ASUS, Zenbo Junior inspires students’ early interest in AI and teaches them the concepts behind AI. Zenbo Junior offers AI robotics and programming education for a wide range of students, starting from grade school all the way to university level and including developers. Younger students can start with block-based programming, then convert the blocks to Python code. ASUS ProArt PA34VC is a 34-inch curved IPS monitor that’s HDR10 ready. It also features excellent color accuracy. ASUS calibrates each monitor before it ships to guarantee delta E < 2 color accuracy. RT-AX95Q is a tri-band Wi-Fi router and the first ASUS mesh router to fully support the latest Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) standard, providing up to a 6,600Mbps concurrent data rate — twice the speed than normal Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) 4+2+2 mesh routers. It also includes OFDMA technology to improve spectral efficiency and MU-MIMO technology for downlink transmission.

Prime X299-Deluxe II is an Intel® HEDT motherboard compatible with the latest Intel Core™ X-series processors with up to 18 cores.
