ASUS Webcam Notebooks with ASUS SmartLogon Face Recognition Technology It’s always more pleasant to be welcomed into an establishment where the manager knows you by sight than it is to be aggressively prodded for ID by the security guard at the door.  That’s the difference a notebook with ASUS SmartLogon with face recognition technology brings to the computing experience.  With ASUS SmartLogon with face recognition technology, users waltz past the notebook’s security functions without lifting a finger.  No more fumbling around for passwords that “must contain 7 letters and at least one number, capital letter, and symbol.”  How It Works When users turn on their ASUS notebook for the first time, they will be prompted have to their photo taken for ASUS SmartLogon with face recognition.  In a matter of 6 seconds or so, the notebook will take the user’s picture from several different angles and capture about 20 pictures.  Once the notebook has a profile saved, all subsequent logins will be automatic and secure.  ASUS SmartLogon has learning ability as well. Whenever it can’t recognize the user, the user can just key in a password.  The notebook will then capture 10 more pictures in the user’s current environment.  In subsequent logons, if the user wants to change anything, they just need to click the smart logon feature on the desktop.
