DESCRIPTION
Position Overview
Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, the Marketing Specialist will play a key role in growing ASUS Canada’s brand strategy and retail presence. He/she will be responsible for the execution of marketing initiatives including advertising (broadcast, print, out-of-home, online), experiential marketing (consumer events, tradeshows), PR (demo device program, reporting), retail marketing (in-store, online), and training. As part of the Systems Business Group, the individual will focus on the Notebook and Tablet portfolios. The Marketing Specialist will be an advocate for both brand building and sales-driven initiatives in the Canadian region.
The Marketing Specialist will work with the Marketing team to execute and provide the organization with sales and marketing programs to increase revenue.
Responsibilities:
- Execute the Marketing Communications and Channel Marketing strategy for the designated business unit to meet country objectives & targets.
- Work with Marketing Communications, Product Marketing and other Channel Marketing team members on assigned projects.
- Develop, implement and execute strategic and tactical initiatives relating to assigned products and/or channel segment(s) to include, but not limited to, the following:
- Assist in the development & execution of consumer experiential events, as well as support trade shows and/or channel partner shows.
- Liaise with various business partners to ensure ASUS creative is compliant with partner funding requirements.
- Monitor and report on a weekly basis on product coverage in the media.
- Manage the ASUS demo device program for PR and marketing-related purposes.
- Create point-of-sale material to promote the ASUS brand within our retail partners’ physical and online stores.
- Work closely with Product Marketing and Product Managers to develop compelling core marketing and sales training/development material.
- Update the ASUS corporate site with up-to-date product information and localized content.
- Work with accounting team to manage and process vendor invoices.
- Work collaboratively to identify and execute on market opportunities and co-ordinate activities to maximize product & service offerings.
- Analyze customer and product category trends, determine business priority and help channel define strategic choices in new product introduction and promotional programs.

Required Experience
- At least 2 years of relevant marketing communications and/or retail marketing experience
- Relevant marketing experience in consumer electronics or technology is an asset
- Proficient in MS Office applications
Required Professional Designation/Certification
- University degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, or a related discipline required
