JOB TITLE: Warehouse/logistic team leader - Job# 15
Job Description Overview:
The Warehouse/logistic team leader is responsible for assisting a wide variety of warehouse activities including shipping and receiving goods and maintaining inventory and associated records. People management responsibilities include training, planning and assigning daily work, addressing performance issues, and resolving problems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in daily warehouse and shipping areas including: Filling and shipping customer orders, satisfying internal shipping requirements ensuring accuracy of shipments and supporting documentation, receiving incoming material and routing to appropriate area or personnel, ensuring inventory transactions are accurately logged and overseeing cycle counts and reconciliation activities. Optimize the working flow and job assign to each member. Able to do the judgment of daily tasks priority
- Warehouse organization, layout and capacity management. Participate in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment as well as any point-of-use inventory storage areas.
- Oversee warehouse security through review of physical security measures and continuous monitoring, and recommends modification to the program as required.
- Train warehouse associates in job duties, safety procedures and company policies to maintain personnel proficiency in warehouse operations.
- Measuring and reporting the effectiveness of the department activities. Measure, track and monitor all assigned KPI’s
- Other duties as assigned by higher authority
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent
- 3 years of warehouse supervisory experience
- Strong organizational, task prioritizing, and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations; Ability to multi-task and manage work flow priorities
- Ability to work confidently work in a rapidly changing, fast-paced and results-oriented corporate environment where a high degree of flexibility is required
- Must be available for overtime and weekends if necessary.
Physical Requirements:
- This position requires the use of computer, stand-alone ladder and pallet jack. Work involves physical work in a warehouse setting includes mobility, bending, reaching above shoulder level and occasional lifting and carrying moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform similar actions during the course of the workday.
