Position Overview
Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, the Senior Channel Marketing Specialist will drive brand and product awareness with our national & regional retail, e-commerce, B2B, and distribution partners through diligent communication and creative marketing. The role requires a strong understanding of the System Business Group product lines, including notebooks and tablets, and consistent delivery of marketing messages through a variety of in-store and online mediums.
The role of this job is to work with the Senior Marketing Manager to educate, strategize and provide the organization with sales & marketing programs to increase revenue.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing the marketing strategy across retail, e-tail, B2B, and distribution channels.
- Execute go-to-market activities for product launches and channel marketing initiatives.
- Develop and implement strategic and tactical initiatives relating to assigned products and/or channel segment(s) including:
- Channel Programs – Manage the MDF program across all retail accounts including quarterly planning & execution with key resellers. Activities may include in-store merchandising, online promotions, training programs, and sales incentive programs.
- Promotions – Initiate and execute channel promotion plans, set calendar of promotional events and conduct pre- and post-promotion analysis.
- Training / Education – Work closely with Product Marketing and Product/Account Mangers to develop compelling core marketing and sales collateral materials and education initiatives.
- Tradeshows and Meetings – Attend and support ASUS and/or channel partner sales meetings and relevant tradeshow calendar. Initiate, develop and manage joint business planning and marketing plans.
- Partner with the Sales Director on segment level sales plan development and execution, program development, business planning meetings and partner contract negotiations.
- Work collaboratively to identify and execute on market opportunities and co-ordinate activities to maximize product / services offerings.
- Analyze customer and product category trends, determine business priority and help channel define strategic choices in new product introduction and promotional programs.
- Aid in working with key customers to define strategic choices for competitive advantage and the ensuing tactical plans to build category dollar volume and unit share.
- Lead in seamless integration and operational excellence between business functions to deliver superior service to the customers.
- Implement and evaluate marketing programs that reach the consumer and build both ASUS and customer equity.
- Work with Product Managers, Account Managers and sales representatives in the field to gain knowledge of customer interaction and sales process.
- Work with industry partners and leverage their marketing resources to build stronger brand preference and to improve our market/product presence.

Required Experience
- 5+ years of relevant marketing experience.
- Experience with managing and executing MDF/coop programs, and/or quarterly marketing plans.
- Experience with marketing budgets, P&Ls, forecasting, promotional offers to drive sales.
- Proven experience leading / interacting with industry/channel partners in matters related to sales, product, promotion, pricing, service, advertising and marketing strategies.
- Proven performance to create programs to pull through product through channel distribution (retail and online)
- Relevant marketing experience in consumer electronics or technology is an asset
- Proficient in MS Office applications
Required Professional Designation/Certification
- University degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, or a related discipline required
